On Android:

1. How do I get the resource to change pages in sync with the reading voice?

2. How do I get the Read Aloud pop-up to stop covering up text that is being read aloud?

3. How do I get the reading to stop messing up (jumping backwards) when I 'flip the page' in order to keep up with the reading voice?

This should be happening automatically. I just tested it and it is working properly for me. If you are still seeing this issue, please provide the resource that you are using when seeing this issue.

    2. How do I get the Read Aloud pop-up to stop covering up text that is being read aloud?

You can minimize the audio player by dragging it down, but it will still cover the last line or two of the page. This is a known issue.

    3. How do I get the reading to stop messing up (jumping backwards) when I 'flip the page' in order to keep up with the reading voice?

When you turn the page, the audio should move to read the first line of that new page you've turned to. You should not have to jump around to keep up with the reading voice. What resource are you having this problem with? Again, I am seeing it working properly on my end, so any additional details you can provide will help us investigate this further. Thanks in advance!

On one of my Android devices, it is currently working. On another older device, the one that triggered my earlier report, I now can't get any resource to read aloud at all. Oh well. I also have a lot of difficulty on that device when making or reading Clippings, so I've lately minimized my use of it with Verbum anyway.

What version is your older Android device?

You could be seeing issues due to the age of your device. It would help to know if others with older Android devices are seeing the same issue.

    Yes, though it is "supported".

It would help to know if others with older Android devices are seeing the same issue.

Anyone else having it? Not having it?

    Ali,

A related issue to this post's issue with scroll view off is the last line of text on my Galaxy Tab s8+ gets covered up by the bottom panel. The page should turn before then so that that line appears as the first line on the next page.

I like to have scroll view off because it turns off the orange circles that appear at the beginning of each line to alert you to keep pace with the audio. These circles are way too distracting when trying to read at the same time the text is being spoken. Is there any way to dial back these circles in scroll view? I can see the need for a circle appearing when the page scrolls or at the most at each new paragraph. Maybe there is an option in Settings that I missed.

We are aware of this issue when scroll view is turned off. It is a larger amount of work to improve, however, it is on the list of possible future improvements.

As of right now, there is not an option in settings to dial this back. We may consider improving this in the future.
