BUG: L10 Read aloud system narrator omits 1st 1 or 2 initial verse words in Bible
In any Bible (except ESV with DCH) when I use system narrator, I'm unable to use the "read aloud" feature since with each verse change, the 1st word or two gets skipped.
This is not the case with ESV David Cochran Heath, though occasionally he seems to "cut out" or go silent for a moment at less predictable times.
Running Logos Bible Software 10.0 SR-2 10.0.0.0240

I do not have that problem with Logos 10.0 SR-2 on Windows 10 nor with Verbum 10.1 Beta 3 on Windows 11. I note you have a 5 yr old CPU, but I doubt that is significant.
Is the Narrator Speed 1x or another value? Do you have any software enhancement of your Sound system?

Noticed this problem for the first time yesterday, tried to ignore it and then just turned read aloud off and read normally. The HCSB has no alternative reader for the whole Bible but a few expensive readings of singular books. When I really want to listen I have a version I got from CBD. Wish they had it in LOGOS.

An old computer, but SSD and lots of RAM have presented no problems with any software I use. And the problem persists at any reading speed.
However you may be onto something, that it's something about my computer. The problem does not replicate on my (also decently old) church computer. Going to troubleshoot a bit more.
Thanks!

Glad I'm not the only one. But I learned today that the problem is only on 1 of the 2 computers I use for Logos work. [:S]

UPDATE: How bizarre. Yesterday while studying I could not get the problem to go away, through restarts or reboots. I gave up last night and just read the old fashioned way.
Tonight, with no reboot or restart from last night (when I couldn't get Read Aloud to work), and with no program update, tonight it works perfectly.
Perplexed, but considering this at least temporarily resolved.

Going to give it another try in awhile and see if things are different. I have rebooted though, year old Samsung Book Pro 360 with Win 11. Haven't tried on any other devices or puters.
