Question about Match All Forms

If I type the phrase "make present" in Search and select Match All Forms, shouldn't it also find "making present"? Is making not a form of make? I had to type "mak* present" to get the search to work. Is this a bug or is this as designed?

EDIT: Shouldn't this search:

("make present" OR "real presence") WITHIN 150 CHAR spiritual THEN (meal OR banquet OR food OR nourishment)

...find this sentence (with Match All Forms turned on)?:

"He speaks of the Last Supper as giving real spiritual food and nourishment to the faithful and making present the real body and blood of Christ offered to God from the cross."

    IIRC I asked a similar question a couple of weeks ago and learned that the quote marks tell the search to ignore the match all forms option.  This is perhaps what I vaguely remembered. Issues with dash in search term - Faithlife Forums (logos.com)

    Sigh. Simplified search is not simpler somehow. And I miss being able to use commas in place of OR.

    At least it doesn't ignore the asterisk. But if it can respect the asterisk why can't it respect Match All Forms? What's the purpose in allowing one but not the other?

    I agree. It is simpler syntax but not the knowledge known to design the appropriate search argument

    No!

    "make present" will only find that form with phrases in quotes - same as Logos 9!  Try make-present without quotes.

    (probably a little clearer than the reference MJ gave you).
