Formatting Toolbar in Notes Disappears When Using External Keyboard for iPad
I’m using L10 on iPad, and I am having a hard time getting the formatting toolbar to appear at the bottom of my screen. Specifically, it disappears whenever I am using my iPad Magic Keyboard. If I detach my iPad the formatting toolbar appears, but as soon as I reattach the iPad to my keyboard, the toolbar disappears.
Can anyone help me figure this out or point me to where Logos should be notified if this is a bug?

Hi Josiah, what version of the app are you on? You can see this in the "Help" section of the More menu (three horizontal lines in bottom right corner).
I just tested this on my iPad and I am seeing the minimized keyboard icon in the bottom right corner, slightly covering the "Done" button, but when I click that icon it expands away from the "Done" button. Can you click this icon to expand it?

Hi Ali, thanks for the help. I am on 10.0.3 (10522).
I've tried tapping all around that area and am not getting it to work. I think once or twice it may have come up yesterday, but it's pretty much unresponsive except for disappearing when I hit 'Done' by accident. This seems like a new issue because I've used the iPad app for years.
Actually, I just had an idea as I was writing this comment--it seems like there is a conflict between the Logos formatting toolbar and the iOS setting on iPad for General > Keyboard > Shortcuts. If I disable 'Shortcuts' then Logos works as expected, but if 'Shortcuts' is enabled then this issue reoccurs. Maybe that'll help with replicating the issue for testing.
Also, while we're talking about the formatting toolbar, I've noticed when the toolbar is available for use that the four tabs (keyboard, font, list, image) render a little bit inconsistently. Apart from the issue we're discussing with Keyboard, the List tab renders higher on the screen than the Font tab does (but the List tab contains less content, ironically). Then on Image, the whole toolbar disappears and leaves the 'Take Photo' / 'Photo Library' menu just floating above my document text. It'd be helpful if those tabs were consistently rendered.
The last thing somewhat related to this is that if the Notes editor would automatically convert 'asterisk + space' to a bulleted list and 'one + period + space' to a numbered list (like the Sermon Editor does in both cases), then it would actually save me a lot of time and taps in this formatting toolbar. Lists are the main reason I have to tap around in the toolbar. It currently takes three taps to get a bullet point and is a little confusing remembering which editor the keyboard shortcut works in and which doesn't (sometimes I forget when I'm trying to keep up with my notes during a sermon, etc.). I know auto-lists are a little off-topic here, but I thought I'd mention it since it's the reason I've been running into this toolbar issue.
Thanks again for your help with this! I've been a happy Logos user for the last 9 years and just set up an account for my wife last week. We're very thankful for all your work.
Below, you can see the differences in rendering the four tabs.

I've created a case and will let you know when it has been resolved.

I've created a case for this issue, as well.
