Feature: Popular Quotes
Popular Quotes
When writing sermons in Sermon Builder, you will be able to search for helpful quotations that can be inserted into the sermon. The quotations also surface in All Search.

-
Click on Sermon Builder.
-
Click the Popular Quotes icon (the quotations) in the right sidebar.
-
Search any word that is relevant to your Sermon prep.
-
Drag and drop the popular quotation from the right sidebar into your sermon.
In Search:
-
Open the Logos 10 Desktop app.
-
Click on the Search icon (the magnifying glass) in the toolbar.
-
Type “The Word” or any other phrase to search and hit Enter/Return.
-

Is there a way to arrange where the "popular quotes card" shows up? I had to scroll really far down to find it and would like to put it close to the top.

No - we can't currently change / order the position of these cards

I'd love to see this feature become available as its own icon in the Guides tab. For someone that doesn't use Sermon Builder much, it's annoying to have to open Sermon Builder to get quotes and then be limited to the narrow scrolling sidebar view to get them. If I use the Search feature to get quotes, only a few quotes show up compared to all the ones you get in Sermon Builder.

A couple of questions:
- Is there a way to limit this feature to the books I own? Or even better Specific Books I Own? First of all, I own some great books. Second of all, most of these quotes are generated without the context which makes them hard to use. Third, I cannot afford all the books.
- Is there a way to use the search function with Scripture references?
I have books of Illustrations - Like the Collection Of john Stott, Spurgeon, etc. that I usually search using a search open books feature. I'd like to be able to do this using the quote feature.

For anyone else wondering, per Help in Verbum, Popular Quotes is 'now' in Verbum > Homilies.
Since I don't do sermons, homilies or 'All' searches, PQ is really not 'convenient'. But that's just me; chances are good I don't own it.
