I miss the old wordsearch app option to view the English dictionary word meaning.  Is there a way to do that with the current iPad 10.x logos app?

Thanks

I miss it also..... and I miss the option of having our very on dictionary whereby we could have acronyms for words such as JCC = Jesus Christ, NTT = New Testament, etc.    I cannot count how many times I have typed the acronyms I used to use in Logo only to have to go back and type in the full wording...

And I know I will miss ZipScript when it eventfully stops working.... I'll cry!  [:(]

xn = Christan man=man -- Acts 11:26 "....and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch".

I don't know about the iPad app but in the desktop you can easily do this. In program settings set double-click (or triple-click) to lookup and prioritize the appropriate resource for English headwords (dictionary entries).

I do it all the time. Simply select the word by placing your finger lightly on the word and you will get a thumbnail definition from your highest prioritized English dictionary. If you want more there is a feature with that name for that. Is this helpful?

Meanwhile, Jesus kept on growing wiser and more mature, and in favor with God and his fellow man.

It doesn’t always work. I have the COED as my highest ranked dictionary. It  pops up less than half the time.

Resources are generally not tagged for English lemmas so dictionaries will not always be able to find the English word by its surface form ... results should vary by dictionary.

The short cuts I have in set up in the system settings on my MacMini seem to work fine in the iPad app.

Have you tried 3 Windows text expanders that take the tedium out of typing | PCWorld
