Unexpected results when using the Important Passages Guide
In the screenshot below I am running an Important Passages Guide on Matthew 2:6 and restricting the results to New Testament Use of the Old Testament
I assumed this would only show OT passages that were related to Matthew 2:6 but it shows NT passages as well. Is this expected - and if so why - or is this a bug?

The first three OT passages come from intertext:target:Mt2.6 and
Jn 7:42 appears to come from intertext:source:Micah5.2 (the other OT passages are only used by Mt 2:6).
But I don't know the relevance of the other passages (cross references?)

Matt 2:6 refers to Mic 5:2 which - in turn - refers to Jn 7:42 which is why it appears in the Guide results?
A modified quote "Passages may be related to one another either because they are referencing or being referenced by another passage."
See https://community.logos.com/forums/t/173730.aspx and https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018488931
Therefore select To all passages to show passages that Mt 2:6 references and select From your passage to show passages that reference Mt 2:6.
Mt 2:6 milestones in commentaries refer to both Jn 7:42 and Micah 5:2 (as well as 2 Sam 5:2 and 1 Chron 11:2.

Thanks Dave

Yes - I was thinking about that and tried both options
Mt 2:6 milestones in commentaries refer to both Jn 7:42 and Micah 5:2 (as well as 2 Sam 5:2 and 1 Chron 11:2.
John 7:42 is interesting as it appears both when I use the From option and the To option
What I am struggling with is that these NT references appear when I am just looking at data that is drawn from NT usage of the OT.
I must be missing something in my understanding.

It wouldn't be unusual, though e.g from Jn 7.42 in Word Pictures in the New Testament

I think you are onto something. The exact same Passages (130) occur with Lexicons, Commentaries and All Types (also in L9). Some other choices generate different results.
