Is anyone else having this problem?

That is no problem. That is how the highlight and its location is stored.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

You can even edit a note (or a highlight) to make it do both tasks. These Logos coders are efficient.

When I underline or bold text, this creates a new note and anchor in the resource that is being underlined.

If you open the Notes Tool, and look in it's sidebar (hamburger menu in top left of Notes), you'll see options for filtering highlights, notes, or responses (when you fill in the answer blanks in Bible studies). This way you can sort through the clutter and only see what you want to see.
