BUGS: Fire Tablet Read Aloud-Text Not Advancing W/ Machine Narrator; Icon Disappears
On my Fire tablet (HD10-11th Gen, Fire OS 7.3.2.4), using text-to-speech narration, the text doesn't advance with the reading as it does with my Android 12 phone. It works fine with the human-narrated ESV & LEB.
In a different bug, sometimes the Read Aloud icon disappears, along with the resource menu kebab, and I can't get them back by tapping the resource title bar. I'm not sure what the circumstances are at the time of the elopement; I just happen to notice they're gone. If I swipe to another resource, they're gone there also.

Hi Robert, are you seeing this issue with every resource or just specific ones? Can you please provide the name of one of those resources? I will write up a case for our team to investigate.

Thanks.
The problem is found on every text-to-speech narrated resource I tried. Here is the list I tested before concluding it was probably universal:
The New Testament: An Expanded Translation - Wuest; ESV Study Bible; Reformation Heritage Study Bible; Reina-Valera Bible 1960; Louis Segond Bible; Biblia de estudio MacArthur.
Just for fun, I tried a non-Bible indexed resource, The Founders Journal 077, and it also did not advance with the narration.
The second bug (the shy icon) did not happen during these latest tests.

I note that I have received an update to Version 10.0.3, but the scrolling issue is still there. I am assuming that problem is still being addressed.
Thanks.

FYI, I have updated to 10.1.1 (Build 1001010790); still my Fire tablet gently weeps.

Thank you for the update, Robert and we apologize for the continued issues you're having.
In addition to your original post in this thread, can you please include as much detail as possible from the following:
- What version of the app are you using?
- What device are you on?
- What are the steps you are taking that lead up to the issue?
- If possible, attach screenshots and/or screen recordings
- If possible, send logs:
- Click the More menu (three horizontal lines in bottom right corner)
- Click "Help"
- Click "Report a Problem"
- Click "Continue" when you see the pop-up
- Email logs to ali.pope@faithlife.com with details of the issue
We hope to nail down these Kindle issues soon and any additional information you can provide us will help with this investigation. Thank you in advance for your help and continued patience!

Wowzer! No one wanted any of these steps to be easy, I guess.
- Logos Version: 10.1.1 (Build 1001010790)
- Device: HD10-11th Gen, Fire OS 7.3.2.6; known in Logos as 'Robert's Tablet'
- Steps taken:
- Tap speaker icon
- Voice reads
- Text doesn't advance
- When finished, either tap speaker icon again or tap Pause button and close player window.
- See screenshot below. I couldn't do a screen video (my decoder ring is broken and my copy of the I Ching is missing a few pages).
- I sent the logs, referenced to this thread (I can't live in a world where I would have to type all of this into a tablet).
The disappearing icon issue happens infrequently, so I am unable to report much on it.
Thanks.

Thank you so much, Robert. I also received your email with the logs. I will elevate this to the team to investigate further. I'll respond back in this thread when the issue is resolved.
