Black screen with sound during video playback in Logos version 10.1.0.0041, w/ Windows 11 Home
I upgraded from version 9 to 10 a week ago. The video and audio both played when first installed about two weeks ago. Now when I click to start the video (IE: Quick Start training video) Thee sound starts but the video goes black. I have gone through all the steps in the troubleshooting help page titled TROUBLESHOOTING MEDIA PROBLEMS. Nothing has solved this issue, including reinstalling Logos. All other media files on my system work. There have been no OS software upgrades or other programs installed. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

Hi John
Welcome to the forums.
We would need to know which OS you are using before we can start making suggestions.
I don't recall any reports of problems with MacOS installations. With Windows it is not only the OS that needs to be up to date but the various drivers that OS relies on.

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.1219.0The latest Windows update occurred about a month ago. As previously stated, I went through the media troubleshooting instructions posted on your support pages (was given this web link from a tech when I called into the support desk). This was working up until just a few days ago when the failure first occurred. I also read through old forum entries and this problem was mentioned a couple years ago but no resolution was ever mentioned.

I am experiencing the same problem. Dell desktop: processor 11th Gen Intel Core 17-1165G7 @ 2.80GHZ; installed RAM 16.0 GB. Windows specifications: edition Windows 11 Pro; version22H2; installed on 10/06/2022. The videos play fine directly from the mpseminars.com website. I have just tried the Bible Survey Video Series and am running into the same problem. i.e. when starting to play the video, the screen goes blank but the sound works.

Question which may not be relevant - do you have acceleration turned on or off?

Because of issues reported in the forums since mid-2021, please bear with me and check what happens if you turn acceleration off.

I turned acceleration off, but the problem remains. BTW, I have since successfully watched the videos using the Logos web app, so the error appears to be specific to the Windows app.

Acceleration was turned off. Restarted, no change. Turned it back on and restarted machine. No change

Same here. A friend told me about the Logos WEB app. Videos play only through the WEB app.
