Logos 10 Notes not getting saved properly or something?
l'm sorry: it looks like I should have posted this in the part devoted to Notes. I can't see how to move it there, but I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.
I use Logos 10 on my desktop Mac and a MacBook Air, and I make some notes or highlights and then open the same notes on the other device and sometimes, at least, all of the notes I'd made before are empty! Highlights I'd made, for example, have no content in Notes and on the Bible or other book I'd highlighted, no highlights are visible. Or sometimes I see the note but there are no anchors, or any way to tell what book I'd been making the notes in. And sometimes I see the note but no anchors, but then later, without me having done anything, suddenly I see the anchor! It seems like maybe it's taking Logos 10 a while to "find" notes, anchors, etc.. And BTW I have a blazing fast new computer with an Apple M1 Max chip with 10 cores, and 32 GB of memory, so it's not that the computer is slow.
I sort of alternate between desktop and notebook computers, so I don't know for sure that if I'd opened Logos 10 again on the same computer the same thing would have happened, probably it would, I don't know. But because I sort of alternate, I tend to notice things I did on the other computer not showing up right on this one.
Anyone else having problems like this, or have any ideas on what's going on or how to fix this?

I didn't even know there was a subforum for notes. No worries. If you do want it moved, however, you can just mention it and if a FL moderator sees it they can move it.

I'm sorry, but I have read this sentence 5-6 times and I am stumped trying to figure out what you are telling us. Can you try again? Provide screenshots?

Highlights typically have no content; highlights are not visible unless they are requested in the visual filters list. It is possible to create free-standing notes without anchors. It sounds to me as if you're inconsistent as to what display features you request which makes the results confusing. The best way for us to help you would be for you to take screen shots of some of the problems, include them in a post in this thread, and let us ask questions until we track down the problems.

I apologize for my poor description. I created some images in Photoshop to illustrate what I saw, but it would probably be better to wait till it happens again and I have an actual example to show. Many thanks to all for your kindness in trying to help!

When you have 'an actual example' please take screenshots which can be attached to posts in this thread using either the paperclip or the orange thing to the right of it in the toolbar.

OK: Again, I apologize to all for my poor description, but here follows illustrations of "empty" highlights and anchor-less Notes:
First, here is a screenshot from my desktop Mac showing notes and highlights in the notes tool on the left that have content, as usual, and a pane on the right with text that has been highlighted. All is normal in this image -- it's just for comparison:
The next image is from my notebook Mac, which shows the same text on the right, but you'll see there are no highlights in the text! Plus, notice the notes tool on the left: It shows a bunch of "empty" highlights that have no content!
And last, here is a "normal" note displayed on my desktop Mac to show what it's supposed to look like. There is a note about the NRSV, and anchors:
But on my Mac notebook, the same note has no anchor: you can't tell what book it's a note in, and that book shows no note! Somehow the notes and highlights I made on one Mac have broken links or something to the books they're supposed to link to when I open Logos 10 in the other Mac.

It looks like a error with sync has been reported on the two systems with problems (note the red exclamation icon in the lower left corner). This is most likely related to the issue.
Please collect log files from the installations with the incomplete notes and post them here.

THANK YOU!!!
I clicked on the red exclamation point/sync icon once, and it tried to sync but came back again with the red exclamation point, but I clicked it a second time, and the exclamation point went away, and the text highlights now are visible, and in the notes tool, they're no longer empty.
So I guess I know how to fix this now when it happens again. Are coders working on this problem to prevent it from happening, and if so, would it be helpful to them if I sent in the log files you mentioned?
Thanks again!

No one is working on the problem, because we don't have any details about the problem (which the logs would help provide). That said, the fact that the errors are temporary and went away with some retries means that this is probably a situational problem that we wouldn't be able to do much about.
I recommend not worrying about this for now. However, if in the future you encounter a sync problem that doesn't seem to go away, please collect logs and post them in the forum and we can take a look.
