Searching for all instances of "Men of [Place]" in the book of Acts on Logos 10 Desktop

Hi there,

How do I do a search for all instances of the phrase "Men of [Place]" in the book of Acts, on Logos 10 Desktop?

For example, I would like my search to return instances such as...

  • Acts 1:11 "Men of Galilee..."
  • Acts 2:14 "Men of Judea..."
  • Acts 2:22 "Men of Israel..."
  • Acts 3:12 "Men of Israel..."

but not...

  • Acts 6:3 "seven men of good repute..."
  • Acts 11:20 "men of Cyprus and Cyrene"

and so on.

I did a Bible search for "sense:man BEFORE sense:place" but was unable to get the results I wanted. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    How do I do a search for all instances of the phrase "Men of [Place]" in the book of Acts

    I'd run this search against a Greek bible, to avoid the translators' choices restricting results (they might have translated 'Galilean men' or even simply 'Galileans' instead of the archaic or at least "biblish" sounding 'men of Galilee'). There are surely several ways to do this, I tested with lemma.g:ἀνήρ  BEFORE 0-1 WORDS louwNida:93.389-615  and I think this looks good (it gives singular men also):

    EDIT: "men of Israel" is missing since LN did tag Israel as a people group rather than a place. To include these, the search could be lemma.g:ἀνήρ  BEFORE 0-1 WORDS (louwNida:93.183 OR louwNida:93.389-615)

    That worked for me. In case anyone else has the same question as me, I actually expanded the search to louwNida:93 to include references to "Men of Israel" which where "men of Israelites" in the Greek text.
