I like Tony Dungy's devotional book "Uncommon Life Daily Challenges" and wish it displayed/worked like other devotionals. Also wondering if the book will show up when I do searches of passages or subjects?
thanks
Paul
I like Tony Dungy's devotional book "Uncommon Life Daily Challenges" and wish it displayed/worked like other devotionals.
This is because it is a Faithlife ebook and so doesn't have the more detailed tagging that are required for it to functional as a full Logos devotional.
Also wondering if the book will show up when I do searches of passages or subjects?
It won't show results that rely on something being tagged as a subject, and I'm not quite sure what you mean about searching passages in this context.
Bummer
I guess the answer is no on the passage as well.
each daily entry, includes the passage at the top
this is today's entry:
MISSION
December 14JB’s Eyes
Let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love. . . . If we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 1 John 4:7-8, 12
You know who they are, the ones who embody the ideal John wrote about in today’s verses. They are the people who leave the house for a five-minute walk in the neighborhood but don’t get back for a half hour. They’re the ones who say they have to run out for a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk at the grocery store and disappear for an hour. What happened to them between point A and point B? They stopped along their route or in the midst of their errands to talk and listen, advise and encourage, laugh and cry. You’ll often find them at the center of a group or with a long line of people waiting to speak with them.James Brown is one of my friends who is like that. The three-time Emmy winner and current host of The NFL Today on CBS Sports and Showtime’s Inside the NFL, JB believes that every person is a valuable and special child of God. And JB acts like he believes it. He has one of the busiest schedules of anyone I know, yet he goes out of his way to be available to everyone who wants to talk with him or meet him. JB stops whatever he is doing or delays wherever he is going to listen to folks and spend time with them. One time when Nathan was with JB at a Washington Nationals game, he saw this in action. He watched as JB took just as much time, if not more, to listen to the elevator operator as he did to visit with the chief justice of the United States Supreme Court—who appeared to be a great guy as well as a baseball fan. In God’s eyes—and JB’s—both of them are very important.Who needs you to make them feel special today?
Uncommon Key > Spend time with the people God brings into your life today. The circumstances that have brought you together have been orchestrated by Him. He may want you to pass along the needed reminder of how important they are to God.

No - that could work.
Try, for example, a Books Search using the search string bible:"1 John 4:7-8"
i would expect that to return a result for the entry you showed.
oh, so that did work
that's helpful, just wished there was a way to make a true devotional
thanks for your help
