Why does this happen?

I'm in the book, All the Parables of the Bible by Lockyer. When I click on a section in the Contents it opens to  it, but in a duplicate book.

Shouldn't it open in the 'same' book?

I should add. I just downloaded it. Could it be that this was happening as Logos was indexing it?

I can't duplicate your behavior ... and I had to download it to test.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I don't think so. Could it be that you had an inline search open (e.g. looking for "contents")? Your experience matches what happens in this scenario.

Have joy in the Lord! Smile

Does the inline search automatically open when a new resource is added? I didn't notice whether it was open or not. Plus, I didn't do an inline search when Logos was indexing.

Strange thing is. It's now working the way it should. This happened once before with a different resource.

I don't have that particular title, but are you moving the mouse a bit when you click? In Logos, that's a shortcut to open a new copy of what you're clicking. You don't have to move it much to make it happen.

It took me many years to figure this one out...
