How do I download or move my library resources to a different drive? I've installed Logos on but it still downloads all the library resources to C:
does the guidance at https://wiki.logos.com/Install_in_different_folder_or_drive help?
No, unfortunately. I’ve already done a custom instalk and installed Logos on but the program automatically downloaded all the resources to C: and there was no option to select a drive. I don’t see an option in settings either. You also can’t select which resources to download. You can only choose “quick“ or “full.”
Download Verbum software. Custom install it on your drive. Unlike regular Logos it allows resources on a drive other than C:. All your Logos resources will be able to be used. Keep your user name and password the same as Logos.
Thanks, Thomas. This sounds promising. But I went to the Verbum download page and it gave me a 404 error. https://verbum.com/downloads/282

This is a weird description
- how did you do a custom install onto without selecting the drive?
- if this install on was successful, Logos would not know anything about C: so why should it download resources there (unlike other programs, Logos does not differentiate between a location for the program and a location for the data, they all reside in one folder structure).
It seems, a version on c: was not completely de-installed (some folder structure and/or some registry entries remaining).
My advice would be to completely deinstall all versions of Logos, checking that ll folders and registry entries are gone. Then a new install of Logos to sort out the mess. Alternatively, installing Verbum (the link works absolutely fine for me right now - but it probably will require a Verbum base package, e.g. the free Verbum Basic, in your license). The point is not that Verbum allows choosing a folder which Logos won't - they both do. It's just that you will have a clean install of a new program in its own folder structure.
Okay, I uninstalled Logos using Add/Remove programs and deleted all Logos folders and resource files from both C: and
Then reinstalled it. Here are the screenshots.
Oh hey, I think that did the trick! It's finally downloading the resources to Thanks NB.Mick!
Wow, none of my screenshots posted. Didn't know you can't include images.
Great to hear!
You can - but not by simply pasting them, even if the forum software makes it look like that worked. You can either
