BUG?: Disappearing Formatting Bar on iPadOS
The text formatting bar does not show when I’m composing a note on iPadOS. If I tap out of the note, the bar will appear for a brief moment and then disappear. When I click back into the note, all I see is a thick gray bar (in the Logos App) with the IOS floating keyboard control on top of it. For me that floating control is minimized and shifted to the right of the screen.
For the particulars:
I’m using a 12.9” M1 iPad
Stage Manager is ON.
This happens on the iPad screen or an external display. (I’m working on Logos from an external display at the moment).
iPadOS is 16.2 (20C65)
Logos version is 22.0.1 (0064)

I'm unable to reproduce at the moment, Tom. Can you please send a screenshot of the floating grey bar that you're seeing? Thanks in advance!

Thank you, Tom. I've created a case for the team to investigate.

The team is investigating this issue, Tom, but in the meantime, the workaround is to tap the keyboard button at the bottom twice and tap "Show Keyboard". Additionally, this bug is only reproducible when Stage Manager is turned on.

Helpful. A small refinement to note: the workaround does not work when working in Logos on a connected external display. (Show keyboard does nothing on the external display because there is no touch interface to access the display.) Workaround works fine as long as Logos is on the iPad screen itself.

Any chance a fix for this will be rolling out soon? This is a frequent inconvenience for me, so I am eagerly waiting for a resolution!

We have a case created for this issue and are still investigating. We apologize for the wait, but other more pressing bugs have taken precedent. Thank you for your patience!

It looks as though this has been fixed in iOS 18 beta. Can either of you confirm?

I have an old iPad Pro running the iPadOS 18 beta, and can confirm that the bug is fixed. It may also be fixed on the current version of iPadOS 17. I just checked on my M4 iPad Pro and it is now working there, too.
