Recently Purchased Resources missing only on Desktop app

I purchased Logos Acedemic Basic about 48 hours ago. For some reason its resources have not populated on my desktop app (displays 230 resources, not to include 20 hidden). The web app displays all of these new resources (displays 313 resources).

I have checked my registered account, version number (9.17.0.0020), attempted to force update resources and software, and have restarted both program and computer several times.

I have contacted Logos support with all this information. They were less than helpful informing me to search by resource title, not by series title. This is obviously not my issue...

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

EDIT: welcome to the user forums, Joseph!

I saw too late that it's your first ever post, sorry to hear you have issues with your new resources. /EDIT

resources have not populated on my desktop app

can you share a screenshot of your program settings? Just making sure it's set to download new resources...

Then the next would be to look at logs, i.e. you start Logos with CTRL key pressed and then share the logfiles a zips (following e.g. the instructions on https://wiki.logos.com/diagnostic_logging ) - the logs might possibly point to issues with the download.

I'm assuming you are sure that you are using Logos under the same ID as the web app.

The log files confirm that no updates are available. Is it possible that you have some of these resources?

Can you give the names of some resources that appear online but not on the desktop?

The most obvious and easily identifiable resources are the reverse interlinear. I have all of them on the web app but none on the desktop app.

    Thanks for your time.

    from a similar thread:

The web app will provide free resources to users without a library of their own, but I doubt that this applies to you.

My desktop Logos 8 count is 2236 vs. 2519 in the Web app. With all 288 hidden resources in the web app, I should have a total of 2524. It appears that I have temporary resources from my Connect subscription (partially checked), including the monthly preview resources (checked).

So it would be difficult to provide a definitive answer unless you compare resource by resource to find the additional resources.

I would start by looking at the license column of the library. How many have a temporary license i.e. they are free preview, or free in the web app, or part of the SIL collection or ...

Have some of those resources as in they are on the desktop app and I previously owned them?

Most of the resources are new to me, also if they were not the issue still remains.

    Thank you for your response.

I can't find anything about that regarding the NASB 1995 included in the pack. The pack information seems to communicate that it is available offline by stating it is included then stating available on windows.

The reverse interlinear resources do not show up as separate listed resources on either the web or desktop software, so these do not contribute to the discrepancy you are seeing. Reverse interlinear resources show up integrated into the base Bible. If you do not own the NASB 95 Bible, then you will not have any benefit from the NASB 95 Reverse Interlinear.

Can you please list a few resources that you see in the Library on the web app that do not show up in the Library on your desktop?

Faithlife just began making set of resources available for free only on the Web application. These are not owned by you, but will cause you to see a larger resource count there compared to on the Desktop. The Bibles you are listing are art of that list.

Are there any Library resources specifically listed in the Academic Basic package that you are not seeing on the Desktop software? I suspect that most of the resources you had already acquired via Liberty, and you probably did not actually get much in the way of new resources.

That looks suspiciously like a list of free access resources for the web. Have you checked that you have actually purchased them?

That is oddly misleading to show that I "Own" them if I do not...

I do not see the aramaic lemmas, Hebrew lemmas, Lexham SGNT Syntactic Force Dataset, New Testament Propositional Outlines Supplemental Data, Greek Lemmas media collection.

Should these be displayed on the desktop app?

The library panel on the web is not as comprehensive as that on the desktop so it is not easy to view the status of a resource but in my library I have:

    • resources that do not show because I have hidden them
    • resources from a third party that grants only temporary access i.e. they are in my library but I do not own them
    • resources that I have a month-long preview of i.e. temporary access for a fixed period of time
    • resources that I have access to solely because I am doing beta testing (none at present)
    • resources that I have access to because of a subscription or platform
    • resources that I actually own and can will to someone upon my death
    • resources that I own in print form that FL carries but I lack a license for the ebook form

In short, being in one's library is not evidence one owns the resource. Where are you seeing them described as "owned" as that should be corrected.

Nothing in the "Datasets" section of the list shows up in the Library. Those are all data that is leveraged in various places in the application, rather than a book you can open and read. The "Greek Lemmas (Erasmian)" item seems to be misplaced in the Media Collection section, and actually belongs in the "Datasets" section.

So, none of the items in that list will show up in your Library (on either the Desktop or the Web application.

    This was me, too.

I was wondering why I have access to NASB95, NIV, and TNIV on the web app, but not on the Desktop app with Logos 10 Bronze.

    Thanks for clearing this up.
