Globe icon missing to set spell checking language
Hello, earlier this evening, when I was writing a note, I could select the spell checking for a block of text by selecting that text and picking the language from the Globe menu. This is good when you have a mixture of English, Greek, or Hebrew.
However, the text editor menu for my Notes has changed for some reason and now that Globe icon is gone, and the text editor toolbar looks different from what it looked like earlier. Here's what it looks like now:
Does anyone have an idea about what might be wrong?
Thank you!

Hi Pavel,
welcome to the forums! Sorry to hear of your issues.
earlier this evening, when I was writing a note, I could select the spell checking for a block of text by selecting that text and picking the language from the Globe menu. This is good when you have a mixture of English, Greek, or Hebrew.
However, the text editor menu for my Notes has changed for some reason and now that Globe icon is gone, and the text editor toolbar looks different from what it looked like earlier. Here's what it looks like now:
I don't use spell-checking in notes, so I don't recall that "globe menu". Did you update Logos recently? What you show looks exactly like what my current Logos 10 installs show (actually Logos 22 and Logos 23 Beta), with the exception that I see a button to insert pictures, which may require a certain feature package level to show. I have seen that "globe menu" in very old screenshots and it may be that it comes up when you activate "check spelling as you type" in the program settings - it didn't for me, but maybe it works only on some platforms and not others.
Have joy in the Lord!

Thanks for the report. I'll take a look later today and report back.

As NB.Mick asked, did you just upgrade your Logos version? If not, did you just change from the old Notes documents to the "new" Notes Tool via the command "set prefer notes tool to yes"?
The Globe icon is not a feature of the current Notes Tool, so the only explanation I can come up with is that you were previously using the old Notes documents.

Thank you for the reply.
I upgraded to version 9--I'm not on version 10. Should I be able to see the spellchecking option in version 9? I tried entering "set prefer notes tool to no" and it asked me to restart the Logos application, but I'm still on an editor version that doesn't have spellcheck management. All my Greek text is solid red, indicating it is supposedly misspelled.
Any other ideas?

It would be helpful if you posted a screenshot of your entire Notes panel.

Well, good news. I upgraded to Logos 10, and Logos no longer marks the Greek text as misspelled. Thank you all!
