New Windows 10 desktop install quits at "Preparing your library..."
I have been using Logos on Android and web for some time. I just downloaded and installed the desktop application on a clean Windows 10 Pro install (22H2). The install completed successfully, but every time I run the application, it accepts the sign-in info, displays the "Preparing your library..." message, then just exits a few moments later. Every time. I have:
1) uninstalled and reinstalled
2) checked the drive for problems (none)
3) let Windows repair the Logos install
4) other than Firefox and Thunderbird, everything is an out-of-the-box Windows install.
I don't get a error message but the icon vanishes from the taskbar and the Task Manager does not show Logos running. It does not appear to be hanging while preparing the library but just *goes away*. I am mostly a Linux user, however, not Windows, so if I am missing something obvious...

"See my signature line."
I take it you mean this: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360027869132-How-to-Enable-and-Submit-Log-Files
Is there some way to have that pinned at the top of the Desktop forum? ;-) That would have saved both of us time, and it didn't turn up in my attempts to find troubleshooting info on the web site (or I somehow managed to miss it). But... now I know. Thank you.
Holding down [CTRL] changed the behavior. It spent quite a bit longer chugging at downloading resources and now has finally come up to the desktop screen. My desktop was empty--- as expected given the holding down [CTRL] thing--- but I am able to load the commentary I was working on, so I think we are good. Thank you again and God bless.
