Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10 Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.

This tip is inspired by the forum post: Adding a reference to a passage list - Logos Forums to which it was an erroneous answer.

  1. Select text; in this case my selection began with "When God created . . .", then right click to open the context menu
  2. but when reference is selected on the left side of the Context menu, the selection was expanded to include everything in the reference including the paratext - chapter number, pericope title, verse numbers
  3. on the right side, scroll down to "Add to passage list", expand the list if necessary, and select the correct passage list from among the last five used.
If the passage list is not among the last five you must open it via the Command box or the Document menu and either add the reference through the add function on the document or  close the document so that it appears in the last five.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I'm confused, as you seem to be illustrating:

#1.  how to select Gen 5:1-2 without directly stating so; and

    # 2. implying the reference got expanded rather than state that the selection was expanded but just ignore that!

    3. on the right side, scroll down to "Add to passage list", expand the list if necessary, and select the correct passage list from among the last five used.
If the passage list is not among the last five you must open it via the Command box or the Document menu and add it through the add function on the document.

Not necessarily. If you open or create it first, the PL will be listed in the last five.

Thanks for the feedback; I've modified my wording accordingly.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
