Factbook Question for Faithlife
Are we ever going to be able to select a different source for the key articles in Factbook? I really would love to be able to change to AYBD or something other than LBD showing up almost all the time.

We already can. Simply change your highest priority Bible dictionary to AYB. I just tried it on Adam.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thanks M.J. I was not aware that we could do that.

That did the trick. I just might start to like Factbook finally.
I really do like the Factbook Tags section.
I just really hated seeing nearly every Key Article coming from LBD.

I've tried changing the priority list, but the LBD continues to come up as the default in Factbook on topics that are in the AYBD. I've tried restarting Logos after changing the priority without success. Any suggestions?

Just so you know, this trick will only work for Factbook pages where the Faithlife-selected resources do not contain an article for that Factbook page. There are currently no plans to change this behavior. You could consider adding a suggestion at https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app

OK, thanks for the clarification

As far as I can see, MJ, this doesn't change the Key Article book but just the order dictionaries appear in the Dictionaries section.
Are you seeing something different?

Yes, and I have reason to believe that it is a Logos/Verbum thing.
default:
with AYB as top priority:
The prioritized book has to be one that is aligned with Factbook; not all type:encyclopedia will work.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I experienced the same thing in Verbum for the Adam (first man) entry, albeit in reverse. It was showing the key article from Easton's Bible Dictionary by default because I didn't have any dictionaries prioritized. When I prioritized the LBD and refreshed the entry, it showed the key article from the LBD. I then prioritized the Catholic Dictionary and refreshed the entry and now the key article from the Catholic Dictionary.

Seems to work for me. I have looked into about a 8 or 9 different Key Articles and have not seen LBD show up. Maybe I got lucky! [:)]

I'm thinking I will switch back to Verbum. Seems to be more user friendly in this regard.

Logos and Verbum do use a different list of Faithlife-preferred resources.

Can we be privy to what those two preferred lists of resources are, Andrew?

Made the switch back to Verbum. Very satisfied with the Key Articles it offers up. I might start to use Factbook more now that it isn't smacking me in the face with LBD all the time.
Don't get me wrong, I think Lexham has some good stuff. I just don't like being forced to use it.

I can approximate:
Logos: Lexham stuff.
Verbum: Catholic Encyclopedia.
“The trouble is that everyone talks about reforming others and no one thinks about reforming himself.” St. Peter of Alcántara

Verbum: Catholic Encyclopedia.
Correction: Verbum: Sacramentum Mundi, then Catholic Encyclopedia.
