Very peculiar mouse wheel behaviour

Hi,

I'm using Logos 9 ver 9.17.0.0020 on latest Windows 10 as of Feb 23.  Like a few folk I've been struggling to get the mouse wheel to scroll as I'd like.  I've tried pressing the wheel like a button and then moving the mouse up and down - which is sort of successful but not very smooth. I've tried setting collumns to one and using the wheel by rolling it, but that results in the bible text to jumping more than 10 lines at a time. But here's the strange thing if I try to roll the wheel up to go back up the page it still jumps down the page by around 10 lines. Even rolling just one 'click' up or down results in the text jumping down 10 lines or so.  I've only windows 10 in charge of the mouse having unloaded any other mouse software. And like others the mouse behaves entirely as expected in other applications, for instance in this browser that i'm typing in just now it works perfectly.

So is there any definitive solutions from the tech wizards there at Logos which can make the app behave like all other windows apps that I use with regard to mouse scrolling?

Thanks in anticipation,

Robert Leitch

My definitive solution is to use the mouse on the scroll bar. The next option is pressing the wheel "button" and moving the mouse.

Thanks for the reply. Out of the two the scroll bar is the least problematic though not perfect. The second option is a washout for me as when I do it the cursor doesn't move at a consistent speed. It starts really slow then speeds up and slows down on a whim. Making it impossible to read the text.  I find it hard to believe that this happens at all in such a week developed software and that it hasn't been fixed properly as there's seems quite a few folk experience it. Add to that the fact it doesn't happen in all types of window in Logos 9. Some of the tools windows work just fine with the mouse wheel. But not the Bible text and some of the commentaries. Go figure?
