Android App Crashing
Since I have updated to the latest version the Logos app crashes before it can open. I use a Samsung Galaxy Tablet.

I'm not an android user so i will be of limited help.
What specific OS are you running? What specific device?
You <may> have resolution by deleting and reinstalling the app. I think that would mean the loss of any downloaded resources (it would on iOS).

I am having problems with Logos crashing before opening on my Android tablet as well. My wife's tablet (also Android, newer, both Samsung) works fine. I'm hoping it's not a compatibility problem with my older tablet. I've uninstalled/reinstalled and that didn't help.

My experience in the past has been that when I reinstall the software it automatically adds previously downloaded resources. Of course, this may take awhile if you have much downloaded. That was the case when L10 rolled out and there were problems with Android then.

Technically speaking, uninstalling does remove downloaded books, but they should automatically download again after re-installing. This is true in both iOS and Android.

Scott and Jeff,
If you are still having problems with Logos crashing before opening, please check in the Play Store for any available updates.
If you are still having this problem after getting up to date, please use these instructions to reset the workspace.

Thanks Joe. That is not an issue when someone has unmetered ultra-high speed internet. For those with metered or slower internet, it can be a very big deal.

Thanks for trying. Same result: crashes when opening.

Tried everything still crashing. Running Android 7.1.1 on a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. This just happened after the latest update. I guess I must wait till the next update to see if that fixes it.

Samsung Galaxy Tablet
Is there only one of these, or do they have different years and models? If there is a device specific bug, FL needs details.
I have no experience with anything from android or samsung. On my side, if I said "ipad," it would not be very helpful. I would have to say 10.9-Inch iPad (2022).
The good news is that the forums have not been flooded with android users experiencing problems. The bad news (for you) is that the forums have not been flooded with android users experiencing problems... which indicates that the issue might be localized to a small group. The more details the better for customer support.

My tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Tab A, Model SM-T550. It is a 16 GB, older than dirt tablet. It has 1.5 GB of RAM.
It is operating under Android version 7.1.1.
It has been sluggish of late, but the latest Logos update has put it out of its misery, as Logos crashes on startup.
Fortunately, I have other options (my wife's tablet, my phone (smaller screen, but more umph!,) and my laptop.)

I have Pixel 7 Pro and have noticed often the app will freeze and tell me to wait, or restart. It is happening more often than it should. Not sure yet if it is a bug. Just an observation

The crash on Android 7 has been fixed in the latest update that was just released today. Please update your app to 23.0.3.3013 for the fix.

Thank you! Y'all are amazing. I think you could make Logos work on a clay tablet!

Would the Logos app in the Playstore be the latest update? The reason I am asking is now Logos runs for 1 - 5 minutes then crashes. I still think y'all are the best, but that doesn't make my app work.'
NVM - It's been up and running for over an hour without interruption. Go back to the part where you're the best thing since peanut butter & jelly (red plum because it's plum good).

The app is working again since update but noticed a new glitch since the update. Every other page is off center when reading a book. The left-hand side margin is cut off on those pages. This is a little bit annoying. I find it interesting that the problem is only happening on every other page.

As of right now, I can't reproduce this, Scott. What book(s) are you seeing this issue on? I'm assuming you're in paging mode, correct? A screenshot would be helpful.
In the future, it's best create a new post for every new bug report, that way we can more easily track the progress and details. But for now we can stay here on this thread to address this other bug report. We appreciate your care and attention to our app!

I am in paging mode and the book that I was using was the New Living Translation of the Bible.

I'm still not able to reproduce. Can you please send a screenshot?
