Can I run Logos 9? Don't like features and function of 10

Problems with 10:

1. the permanent toolbar at the side takes up valuable space, reducing the size of my layout.

2. Search feature not working for Bible verses. Keep getting "Something went wrong - Try Again."

3. there is not enough separation between the windows in my layout. Windows "run" into each other.

    Yes, with a little work.

    1. the permanent toolbar at the side takes up valuable space, reducing the size of my layout.

    You can change that in "Program Settings".

    The Bible search works just fine although there has been a simplification of the syntax. Please provide a screenshot of a search that failed and we can correct the issue.

    At some point, Logos 9 will no longer run; all sticking to Logos 9 will do is (a) you'll get no support services and (b) you'll delay adjusting to the changes making the change more dramatic when you must change.

    Can I run Logos 9 ?

    Suspect answer depends on the computer: e.g. older Mac models running macOS Mojave 10.14 or macOS Catalina 10.15 are limited to desktop app 9.17 SR-2 (now unsupported) since newer desktop app needs macOS Big Sur 11 or newer.

    Installing Logos 9.17 SR-2 or Verbum 9.17 SR-2 requires being online for login validation & what to download, which could include desktop app upgrade along with resources to download. My apologies for not knowing if desktop app upgrade from 9.17 can be avoided during software installation on a computer that can run newer desktop app versions.

    Downgrading from version 23 to version 9 is a complete uninstallation followed by new install. Version 23 updated desktop app databases so those databases are only usable in version 23 or newer desktop app.

    2. Search feature not working for Bible verses. Keep getting "Something went wrong - Try Again."

    Curious if Fuzzy Bible Search had search focus ?

    My apologies for not knowing how to replicate "Something went wrong - Try Again."

    3. there is not enough separation between the windows in my layout. Windows "run" into each other.

    Curious if changing Application toolbar program setting (from Left to Top) had effect on windows in layouts ?

    Disconnected network from my iMac followed by changing a Bible search, which had Fuzzy focus:

    Feels Buggy to me for version 23.1 Fuzzy Search not working (network disconnected after desktop app launched) that focus in Bible Search can't be changed to something that does work without network connection: e.g. Passages, Aligned, Grid, Analysis

    Work-around with network disconnected:

    • quit desktop app
    • launch desktop app
    • quickly press ctrl (Windows) or cmd (macOS)
    • Login dialog box => work offline
    • Bible Search works (Fuzzy is not shown)
