Help requested: Upgraded to new engine 10, lost Copy Bible Verses functionality within Word

Hi all,

I wonder if someone might be able to help me out. I am running Logos 9 (with now free upgraded to 10 engine) on my Mac Ventura 13.2.1 I use Logos as a reference tool, but, I compose my sermons and bible studies in Microsoft Word (365).

I use very few things every day in Logos, but, one that I rely on is the ability to type out and highlight a Bible reference like Daniel 2:11 (without leaving Word) and then press a hotkey combination (in my case command key+shift+'') and have it automagically insert the ESV Bible text with the verse. Logos must be open but it doesn't even have to be in focus for this to work. I love this feature and rely on it.

I have tried to figure things out, but, the best I've come up with is activating the "Copy Bible Verses" dialogue in Logos (command+shift+J) and then switching to my Logos to authorizing it to copy and paste into Word. This is a cumbersome way to do it, and it worked wonderfully for me in Logos 9 the other way. Could any of you help me as to what I'm missing? Thanks so much in advance!

I fixed this by searching in the help - it's the Replace with Passage feature. Just after I posted! :-)

Mac Tips

Two system-level Services menu items are available:

• Open Copy Bible Verses (Shift+Cmd+J) — opens CBV in a floating window from applications that interact with the Services menu (e.g., Pages, TextEdit, Chrome, etc.).

• Replace with Passage (Shift+Cmd+E) — replaces a reference typed into one of these applications with the text of the passage. Select the reference first, and then press Shift+Cmd+E or choose from the Services menu.

To display the menu items on the Services menu and enable the keyboard shortcuts, click any application’s main menu and choose Services. Click Services Preferences, click Shortcuts at the top of the Keyboard dialog, select Services on the left, and select the two services under the Text heading.
