Is it possible to add ASCII characters in Sermon Builder? I've tried copying them from other applications but that doesn't work either.
Perhaps you should explain what you mean by ASCII characters. ASCII is a 7-bit code for a total of 128 possible characters of which 95 are printable. Those printable ones include things like the alphabet and numbers, so right off the bat there are at least 62 plus a few more like the blank space character and punctuation characters that are readily evident in the text we enter into Sermon Builder and Notes and a host if other places.
I'm looking for ways to indicate other actions. I use other types of bullets when training for different purposes. Even adding an icon would help.
Also, it would be great to change the supplied styles.
I've tried copy/pasting it from Word but Logos does not insert the special character.
I find emojis to be really good for this purpose. On Windows use the Windows key plus the period key to bring up a menu to select an emoji to be inserted into any application. I'm not sure how to do this on Mac, but there should be something equivalent.
Generally speaking you can use emojis anywhere where text can be inserted.
Thanks for the tip Andrew. Do you mind trying this in the sermon builder? I've tried copying and pasting an emoji but it won't paste. It just gives me an accented character.
If it works for you, I'll check around for a Mac app.
But as I mentioned, I'd like to build a style to do this automatically.
I tested this on Windows and it works just fine. I don't have access to Mac at the moment, but this Apple support page gives some instruction on using the Character Viewer to insert emojis.

In Word on Windows 10 there's the Insert Symbol menu. It seems that anything that I can insert through that menu into Word, I can cut & paste into the Logos sermon document - which is a bit more tedious than using the Windows native emoj inserter that Andrew talked about.
Hi Mick, it seems to be a Mac limitation at least on my machine.
On my machine, the edit menu in Logos does not contain the Character Viewer option - only the standard cut, copy, and paste.
Thanks for trying though.
