Discrepancy between Strong's and Logos' Search for KJV "mourn"

I've searched "mourn" in Strong's Concordance, which is showing 86 hits under 14 different Hebrew and Greek words, whereas the Logos search function KJV/All Bible Text/Verse/All Passages shows 45 results in 44 verses.

Running an inline also gives 45 hits.

I don't understand the reason for the discrepancy.

What searching method would show the same result?

Any clarification would be appreciated thank you.

I went and checked the physical volume instead of a digital one for "mourn", it looks like the 45 hits for "mourn" is correct.

Do you have the "match all word forms" box checked in your search? I don't have Strong's exhaustive concordance in Logos (I am not sure what a concordance is useful for in Bible software) so I cannot test it, but that will find other words like mournful that might increase your number of hits.

No I had that unchecked. I think the fault is in a WordSearch Strong's Concordance that was matching other word forms even thought it was listed as only "mourn".

Logos/Verbum Bible Word Study (BWS) for mourn shows more than 14 different Hebrew and Greek words (lemmas).

Hovering mouse over a BWS segment shows lemma whose translation range includes an aspect of mourn.

Strong's numbered original language lemma's that appeared in the protestant Bible canon. Original languages have more lemma's (words) that were not assigned a Strong's number.

I think you meant to say you looked up "mourn" in Strong's concordance, i.e. this headword entry: https://ref.ly/logosres/ws-89cc1072ce34484587be0f048b47b68a?hw=Mourn and added up the occurrences of the Greek and Hebrew words listed there (which gives 86). I think this is probably correct (those occurrences match up with what the Enhanced Strongs Lexicon gives as "AV translates xxxx with mourn N times, with wail X times...".

However, I think this means the KJV/AV (and there may be different editions here) uses the English lemma "mourn" - which includes forms such as "they mourned". Including those, i.e. turning on "match all forms" will give 119 results in 110 verses for me - a reasonable ballpark since the concordance actually has some more entries such as "mourning".
