Can't remove highlights

I've got all these multi-colored highlights that show up across multiple resources. But they're not actually "highlights" that I can remove. Any idea how to make these stop showing up?

Any idea how to make these stop showing up?
My guess is you have a search panel open searching for the day of the lord
If you close that search panel the highlights will disappear

True, but it may be more convenient to clear the Search box, or switch to another type of Search e.g. from Bible to Books.
