Search Within Anchored Text
Hello, I need some help.
I have a notebook entitled "Illustrations". Whenever I come across something I might find useful, I copy and right-click and create a Note in my "Illustrations" notebook.
However, I just realized, when I search the notebook, all of the text shows up as "Anchored" (see screen shot) and it doesn't seem to show up in any search function.
Suggestions?

Is your goal to find a word in all the Notes of the Notebook? Or do you want to search for a word within a particular Note?
If it's the second, press [Ctrl-F] to see the search field for that Note.

My goal is to find a word in the entire notebook.

In a search panel, choose Docs filtered by Notes

I thought this will just search the notes content, not its anchor
Are you seeing something different?

Perhaps I misunderstood the question, Graham.
In the screen shot, the text that shows IS the anchor. The position of the text is where a Bible reference would be if the Note were anchored in a Bible. I could not create a Note like the screen shot. Perhaps Pat can tell us the steps to create such a Note.

Pat:
May I suggest this discussion of Notes vs. Clippings as a solution to your question?

Yes - this is done by selecting a portion of text and creating a note (or a highlight) on the selection as opposed to the reference.
I assumed it is that which Pat wanted to search and I don't think can be done.

Anchor text is not searched but you can search for an anchor bible reference. Because of this you need to make a note of your own, or add tags, so you can easily find the relevant entry.
