Church History Study Bible Notes

I'd love to have the Crossway ESV Church History Study Bible Notes. I find bible notes to be a great way to have a (concise, short) commentary available on iPad during church, etc. They don't replace real commentaries, but they do mention some of the important stuff without taking up as much screen real estate.

This appears to be mostly a collection of quotes from historical church figures, which would be a nice addition to those who preach and teach as well.

Anyone happen to have the inside scoop on when this one may finally drop? It looks like the digital edition hasn’t even been produced by the publisher yet. I’m not sure, but it would seem that they would have to release it themselves before Logos gets their hands on it.

I'm glad to hear that. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't a broader range of historically important commentators e.g. Jan Hus, Menno Simons, Peter Waldo but recognized they had limited space.

Yes more would have been even better! I do love how they have voices from the early church fathers all the way to Martin Lloyd-Jones and C.S. Lewis! I don’t know if another resource that has suc a wide swath of time periods commenting on Scripture. It definitely leans reformed… but for me that’s alright.

This is indeed the type of resource that lends itself more to an e-copy than a print copy...books can only be so big but screens are infinite.
