L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #124 Search documents/notes for tag you added
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.
This tip is inspired by the forum post: Suggested "Add to Search" - Logos Forums
The standard search term for tags that the user adds to their books or documents is mytag: In the library, it is also a selectable facet. You may either:
- enter mytag:hymns (substitute your tag name for "hymns" and enclose in quotation marks if the name contains a space) OR
- select Tags > My Tags > Hymns from the facet list
For your documents, very often notes, use the Search panel.
- Set the search type to Docs(uments)
- Click on All Docs to open selection menu for documents you wish to search
- Click on the documents you wish to search; these are toggles you can click on and off
For Notes, again, you have two options - enter the search argument (in the Search panel) or select the facet from the menu (of the Notes tool).
In short, remember that your tagging works basically the same way as other search elements that appear as facets in Logos/Verbum.

Should be Docs
Again you have two options - enter the search argument or select the facet from the menu.
Now you have conflated Notes with Docs Search and you do not have two options (again):
- Docs Search requires that you manually enter mytag: for a tag.
- the Notes tool requires you to use the Tags facet; which is much less flexible than mytag:

I added some clarifying language as I was depending too much on the screen shot to make the options clear.
