L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #125 Enlarge note input box
Another tip of the day (TOTD) series for Logos/Verbum 10. They will be short and often drawn from forum posts. Feel free to ask questions and/or suggest forum posts you'd like to see included. Adding comments about the behavior on mobile and web apps would be appreciated by your fellow forumites. A search for "L/V 10+ Tip of the Day site:community.logos.com" on Google should bring the tips up as should this Reading List within the application.
This tip is inspired by the forum post: Extensive note taking - Logos Forums
One complaint hinted at in the post linked above but explicit in other posts is that the input box for notes is too small. As you can see in the opening to the default size, this is a justified complaint. Notice that the left panel of facets and notebooks is closed.
However, this ignores the fact that the Notes panel can be enlarges by grabbing any border and stretching the panel. One can also adjust the width of the panes - note list and actual note.
If the Notes panel takes up too much space in the layout, you can convert it to a floating window.
I would agree that the headings take up more room than they need to but you can get a large enough input area to satisfy most input area size complaints.

There is yet another option and that is to click on the double diagonal arrows in the upper right. That makes the full width of the note pane available to the work space. When you want to select another note then click on the double diagonal arrows again.

Thanks for pointing that out. I should have included it in the post.
