How do I use power lookup and what is the significance of this tool?
Really!?!
Did you try it out?
Did you look in Logos Help for information about the tool?
I tried but it was confusing

Power Lookup
Display everything the active resource links to (footnotes, Bible passages, other resources, etc.) by scrolling through the resource.
The Power Lookup tool finds a data type reference in the current article or selection and displays the text associated with each reference. 1. With a resource open, click Tools > Lookup > Power Lookup. The text contained in each of the references is displayed. For example, the text of Bible references and footnotes will appear in the Power Lookup panel.
• Power Lookup will follow along as the user scrolls through a resource. • To change the scroll behavior, open the panel and choose None from the menu. To change it back, choose Follow from the anel icon menu. 2. Click Copy on the panel toolbar to copy the current Power Lookup contents so they can be pasted into another document. 3. Click a link to open the preferred Bible or other resource to the specified location.

I love PL. It is basically a tool that lets you see all the notes, footnotes, and other links in a separate window on the fly.
Examples (you may have to click the pics to get enough details to understand what's happening)-
Here's PL with a Gk NT. Note the apparatus material shows up in PL as you scroll through the text...no more clicking footnotes and navigating back. There's a Copy button at the top of the PL window in case you want to quickly put something in a note, transfer it to a Word doc, etc.
Next, here's PL with a commentary. Footnotes show up (top arrow), and any bible verse will also show up in PL without having to hover or click it (next arrow). Note also, certain abbreviations show up with a definition (bottom arrow).
And finally, here's my favorite use...PL with a monograph. The footnotes are right there...you don't even have to look down to the bottom of the page. (Bible verses also appear in PL.)
Don't feel bad - I've found it confusing too. I appreciate MJ and Doc B for their explanations. Some of these tools are very powerful, but if you don't know what's going on, the information that pops up in something like a Power Lookup panel can seem random.

Which is why it pays to check Logos or Verbum Help, which is what MJ displayed.
Thanks for asking. With so many incredible features, and being a new user some of these options slip through the cracks. I have seen power look up explained and researched it at least once. However, I kept forgetting what it was, and thus did not use it.
The answers in this thread helped and now I will be using. What a great feature.
