Moblie searching takes over other open search panes
Searches is one of my most used features in Logos. And I find myself using the mobile app more and more. When I perform a search in a resource in the mobile app I like to select the ”this resource” option to open the search tool so I can quickly switch between the resource and the search results.
But when I already have another search pane open, choosing this option on my new search takes over that other search pane instead of opening a new one. This is very frustrating because I would like to have several resources and potentially several searches of those resources open at the same time.
Does anyone have similar issues? Is there a setting where this can be changed? Or would it be possible to update the app to default to opening a new search pane or having the option to do so?

Hi Tim, thank you for explaining your request. This is the current, intended behavior as of right now. Please feel free to create a feature request at Faithlife Feedback for others to vote on. In the meantime, a workaround is to manually create another Search tab.

I can understand that this change may be seen as an improvement to avoid proliferation of search tabs. However I really would prefer to be able to keep my existing searches and close them manually as needed.
I have added this feature request, if others would like to vote it up: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-mobile-app/posts/revert-to-opening-additional-search-tabsHow do we manually create new search tabs? Tapping the tabs icon, then + then tapping search does nothing for me—and seems rather laborious anyway

How do we manually create new search tabs?
- In the Layouts View, tap the plus icon on the right or left to create a new tab.
- Tap that new tab.
- Tap the nine dots icon at the top (third from the left).
- Tap Search.

Thanks for replying.
I tried that several times on Saturday (including restarting the app), and each time it failed to create a new search tab: it just returned to the same set of existing tabs. I updated the app yesterday and today it works, so perhaps there was a bug.
It still seems laborious for something that previously took one tap. I hope the developers will consider reinstating the original functionality, though I realize these changes are made after careful consideration. Or: how about making a long press on the search icon open a new search tab, instead of reusing the existing search tab? Long press already has a precedent with the tabs icon.0
