I am new to notes and am wondering if it is possible to create a journaling template for a personal journal within notes. As an example:

  • What do I want out of today?
  • I am grateful for...
  • I will let go of...
  • Today's Theme...
  • Thoughts from my readings...
  • Prayer focus...

bumping this post so it gets another chance at a helpful response

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

There's no way that I can see to create a template in notes, although this is a great idea.

I came up with a workaround that isn't too cumbersome.  Unfortunately, I do not know how to draw on the screen, but I inserted a screen shot at the end.  I know that this isn't what you are looking for, so I don't know how helpful this is.  Maybe someone else will have a better idea.

    1. Create a notebook "Journal Template"

    2. Click "New Note"

    3. Type in your topics you want covered: (What do I want to get out of today, What I am grateful for, etc).

    4. Put this note in your "Journal Template" notebook.

When you want to journal, you open the template first

    5. Copy all your topics [CTRL+A]

    6. Click "New Note"

    7. Paste CTRL+V

    8. Write your note.

This way you always have your template and it only takes a few clicks to set up a new note.

Also, when it is set up, but if you include the date you can see all your notes are in chronological order.
