User Interface questions
Until very recently, when I right clicked on a verse in my preferred bible, it selected the whole verse. Somehow I changed this behavior to just selecting the word I clicked. I thought I found it in preferences where it was set to word and switched it to smart, but that didn't seem to change anything. Where is this option kept please?

Did you try restarting the program? What happens if you select Character? Smart should select the whole verse, unless there's something wrong. If it doesn't work after changing it to Smart and restarting the program, then you might want to post logs and see if any of the geniuses can help you figure it out.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly Dr. Purcell. Neither selecting character or smart seemed to have any effect on the right mouse click selection after restarting each time. I couldn't find anywhere for a right click selection option. Continued help needed.

The top options in the left of the context menu are selection and reference.
If you choose selection you just get the word (phrase) you had right-clicked, if you choose reference you get the verse.
And these options are remembered the next time you right-click to open the context menu.
So if you choose selection that should restore the behaviour you are looking for.
(Or you could choose other "single options" such as Lemma to get the same result)

Thank you as well for a quick reply... I am embarrassed to say I don't know where the context menu is. It does sound like that is the behavior I am looking for. Please describe where I can find the context menu.

I found the context menu in it being what opens when you right click... Somehow my verse selection is restored, but I didn't change anything that I'm aware of. I did click on reference, but it didn't look like it selected anything, unless that was the point.... Still playing with it, but I think I figured it out with the last posts help... Thanks again.

Until very recently, when I right clicked on a verse in my preferred bible, it selected the whole verse.
After you right-click, select Reference on the LHS of the Context menu. Provided you do not change this, a right-click will continue to select the whole verse.

Thanks Dave!... While I am at it, is there a user guide that describes the various menus like the context menu or other field names by chance? It took me a while to figure out what the how to go to the command bar using Opt+Cmd+L and how to go to the resource reference box using Cmd+G mainly because I didn't know what the respective fields were called. A user guide describing the user interface would be very helpful.

While I am at it, is there a user guide that describes the various menus like the context menu or other field names by chance
- https://wiki.logos.com/Table_of_Contents - describes features available from the various menus, toolbars
- https://wiki.logos.com/Right_Click_Menu - context menu
- https://wiki.logos.com/Layouts - will explain Layouts you can create
This is an overview of various parts of the Logos Window
- The window is divided into a Title Bar an App Toolbar and (adjustable) Tiles
- The App Toolbar could be on the left side of the window
- Hover over an icon in a toolbar to finds its purpose. Click to open.
- A Tile can consist of many Tabs, each created when you open a resource or a tool
- The information part of a Tab is called a Panel, and each panel will have a Toolbar with a Panel Menu.
- Some panels will have a Sidebar which opens from the toolbar.
- Some will have a non-adjustable Pane (this one is for the reverse interlinear data) which is opened from the toolbar.
