the About screen doesn't indicate, AFAICS that it is a beta.
That's correct. We don't explicitly say "beta" in the Help section. However, you should see the verbiage "(Beta)" in the Google Play Store when choosing to download the app. Nonetheless, it's a minute detail and if you aren't able to post in the beta forum, then that's okay. Just posting the version number that you see in the Help menu will clear up any confusion on our end. We appreciate your attention to the app!

Thanks Ali. I think you are missing several important points. Firstly Android apps automatically update themselves, so I rarely go to the store. Secondly, the app should report that it is beta software, otherwise how does the user know what they are running, particularly in a restricted environment?

I was referring to when you first downloaded the beta app. It's indicated in the title upon initial install.

I understand the need here, but you can also view our Wiki Release Notes to know the latest stable version and latest beta version.

I am not opposed to greater clarity. However, the user has to explicitly enroll in the beta testing program. It is presumed that the user knows this and is actively assisting FL by testing the app and making appropriate reports. The beta tester should know that they are beta testing.

Well users have to opt in to the beta program on Windows too! So it's not a strong argument that you advance. Also, personally, I periodically move between beta and release version, so I'm not always sure what I'm on!
I've created a case for the team to investigate. Thank you, Paul.
Additionally, when you are reporting a beta bug, please post it in the Logos Mobile Beta forum. Currently, version 24 is in beta.

Ok I checked the about section to see if it was a cars and there was no indication! I think it might be helpful to indicate this clearly...

Sorry a typo in that message, the About screen doesn't indicate, AFAICS that it is a beta.

I wanted to note that the desktop app reports clearly in the About screen that it is Beta software! Why can mobile users not have the same clarity?
