Sync problems with 4.0b
It's getting pretty difficult with my two copies of LOGOS. Both use Win XP running on parallels on MACS (a macbook pro running OSX 10.3 and an iMac running OSX 10.6). Both version have network access, both recently upgraded to 4.0b (4.02.3.8750) so access to the internet is not the problem. Both can get updates. Both copies have "use internet" turned ON. And yet, nothing seems to sync between them. I only sporadically get a sync button in the toolbar and they do not sync collections, notes, favorites, or bookmarks. As nearly as I can tell nothing will sync.
Does anyone have any idea of what the problem might be? Or what I might be able to do to get this feature working again (long ago it did work on these two machines)? I have notes on readings that I would like to have available on both machines.

Sorry, I can not help here but I might suggest if you have not already done so is to repost in Logos Mac forum.

repost in Logos Mac forum.
Actually, if its the PC version of Logos4 running on Windows XP (on a MAC), the PC forums seem the right place rather than the MAC one.
This might be too easy, but are both signed in with the same user id? If NO, that is of course the answer.
If the same user id is on both copies, and they can both talk back to Logos servers, then enable logging on each and take a log that captures the startup on one, then add a new Note to it, manually run "Sync Now" to make sure. Log off. Then start the 2nd with logging and run "Sync Now".
Take a look yourself, but if you can't see the answer, post both logs here and someone may be able to give you pointers.

Looks like it is something internal The error message is:

I'm having the same problem, except that I'm on PC. I have a laptop and desktop running the current versions of Logos4. I have to click the sync button before I shut the program down in order to make sure that everything syncs. Is there a setting to do this automatically? I have my program setting set to login and connect to the internet. Is there anything I'm missing?
Thx,
Gabriel Rodriguez

I'll create a bug report based on your logs, but have you changed any setting for CPU utilization (core/thread usage) in Parallels?

I have parallels (V 5.0.9344) set up to use 2 processors (which I think means four threads) and 2 GB of Ram. Options set "Tune Windows for speed" and the Video card has 256MB of ram). It is running Win XP home edition Version 2002 SP3. On a lighter note, a copy on a netbook runs fine (if VERY slow, it's OK for reading a book but not much else), it does sync most things with the MACs, though they won't sync with each other.

This problem is stated to be fixed in 4.0c RC2 (which could go "Gold" very soon).
