Searching for "Lord Jesus" but not "Lord Jesus Christ" in Paul
I'm just curious. When searching for "Lord Jesus" but not "Lord Jesus Christ" in the Pauline corpus, I tried:
"Lord Jesus" NOT THEN Christ
and
"Lord Jesus" THEN NOT Christ
Neither of those worked. However, the following worked:
"Lord Jesus" NOT BEFORE Christ (although this leaves out 2 Thes 1:12 which has a positive search result but also has Christ later in the verse)
"Lord Jesus" NOT WITHIN 1 WORD Christ (this gives the best results)
Question: Why can't I use NOT in conjunction with the THEN operator when I don't want a term to immediately follow another term but it can be somewhere else in the verse?

"Lord Jesus" NOT BEFORE 1 WORD Christ is technically best because "Christ, Lord Jesus", if it existed, would be excluded from results using WITHIN.
THEN is technically the same as BEFORE 1-1 WORDS but counts and highlights the results differently, so Faithlife may not see it as compatible with NOT.

"Lord Jesus" NOT Christ list 34 results in the NKJV.

"Lord Jesus" NOT Christ list 34 results in the NKJV.
That works in that instance, but this doesn't:
Lord NOT "Lord Jesus" --> with Match Case
because it excludes 1 Cor 11:23, 16:22 from results given by Lord NOT WITHIN 1 WORD Jesus.
Same problem exists with "Jesus Christ" NOT Lord
