BUG: Notebooks Visual Filters turned on in multiview resources
When I open the ESV-CE and display the ESV in multiview, the visual filters for the various notebooks I have for the ESV are enabled and I have no way to turn them off since the ESV-CE doesn't have notes/highlights for those notebooks. This is the case even though I have these notebook visual filters disabled in my ESV. See screenshot below.

Hi Kiyah, I may not be understanding correctly, but I am able to turn off my notes and highlights visual filters in multiview by clicking on the visual filters icon in the ESV-CE panel and unchecking Notes and Highlights and Notes and Highlights (Corresponding).
Does this solve your issue? If not, more details would be appreciated [:)]

I don't want to turn off all of the notes/highlights in the multiview resource. I just want to turn off the notes/highlights in that particular notebook that is displaying for the ESV in multiview. That notebook is not available for the ESV-CE so it's not showing in the list for me to turn those notes/highlights off in the ESV. That notebook is not enabled in my ESV, I have it unchecked, but for some reason it is displaying in the ESV when I have the ESV displaying in multiview in the ESV-CE.
Does that clarify my issue? I don't want to see that particular notebook in the ESV so it's supposed to be turned off. But when I open the ESV in multiview with the ESV-CE it's turned on and I can't turn it off because that notebook is not an option for the ESV-CE.

You’re right, we don’t have any UI controls for selecting the visible notebooks in the multiview child resource, when it doesn’t exist in the parent resource.
As a workaround, you could add a single note in ESV-CE to the ESV notebook. That would make it visible in the list of notebooks in ESV-CE, so you can turn it off in both the parent and child.
