Another highlighting bug
When I highlight a verse in the bible, the highlight gets applied to the verse anchor (e.g. Luke 17:21), causing any commentary passage that has the same anchor reference to be highlighted. Note the behavior is seen only if the highlight anchor matches the commentary anchor exactly, so any commentary on 17:21 is fully highlighted, but a commentary on 17:20-21 is not.
The highlight should only be applied to the resource that is being highlighted, in this case, the Bible. It probably does make sense for the highlight to apply across Bible translations, but not commentaries.

If you highlight by reference, the note will appear across all books with the milestone of that reference. If you highlight by selection, the note will appear only in that book. To keep note indicators from flooding resources where you don't want to see them, you simply keep the notebook turned off in the visual filters. Very basic to how Logos works and probably clear as mud to you. Notes Tool – Logos Help Center is more user friendly than my terse description.

Thanks for the reply MJ! Wow, I've been using Logos for close to a decade but still a noob! I have never noticed that there was a difference between selection highlighting vs. reference highlighting until you pointed that out! [:$] Still think the behavior is unintuitive though.
Visual filters could indeed solve the problem, but unfortunately I do most of my reading on android eink devices or my phone. As far as I can tell, the mobile version of logos doesn't support visual filters. Trying to highlight by selection is difficult on eink due to the slow refresh. It's way easier to just tap on verses.
Oh well, hopefully logos supports visual filters on android at some point. Thanks for the tips!
