Since the separate forum for Notes is no longer available, I'm posting here. If this is incorrect, please let me know.

Setting a highlight to None does not delete its record in the note/highlight file.

I'm trying to follow, but here is what I observed

    1. set Show Selection Menu to YES in Program Settings (my default is NO)
    2. select the highlight of a note (with a note icon) in a bible
    3. click Edit Notes in Selection Menu --> the record for the note is opened in a Notes tab
    4. select the highlight of the note again  (step #2)
    5. click Remove Highlighting
    6. the highlight and note icon are removed (in the bible)  ---> it appears to be deleted as there is no option in the Context menu
    7. the note remains in the Notes tab, but the Note icon and Highlight Style icon have been set to None.
    8. it is still accessible as a note
    9. Why is it not deleted in the notes tool?

Thanks, Dave, for confirming what I saw.

I'm curious about Show Selection Menu. Where is this control located in the Desktop App?

Program settings > Text Display > Show Selection Menu (near the bottom)

Can confirm. I'm seeing the same bug in Holmes, Apostolic Fathers (Greek Texts). Interested to see if there's an update or fix for this.
