Option to set default resource text size is gone in Logos 10

There no longer appears to be any way to set the default resource font size. Every time I open a new resource, it have to immediately change the font size two clicks because the text is too small.

Changing "Content Scaling" in settings does not change the size of resources, but only the text of other panel types.

Changing "Program Scaling" changes the entire UI, which is not what I want.

There should be a way to set the default text size for newly opened resources. There used to be, but this seems to have been removed in Logos 10.

User error for me - content scaling does work in my case (Verbum/Mac). Sorry for the confusion I added!

The "Content Scaling" option in settings only affects panels that are set to the default scaling. If you want your resource to be affected by changes to that option, then you will first need to set the custom scaling for that panel back to the default (which can be identified by the larger tic mark).

Maybe on Windows. See macOS below (the mark under the slider is like the others; I checked). They all look the same to me. I have CS at 100%; PS at 90%.

But in any event, it would be helpful if they expanded a bit on the Help resource:

- Content Scaling doesn't impact resources not in default size (user changed)

- To re-set default scaling, find the little mark

Yes, you are correct. We have an open case for this bug on Mac. It's really annoying, and I was hoping that everyone reading this thread would happen to be on Windows. [:P]

You'll have to find the one that corresponds to the default. The tic marks each correspond to one of the entries in the list of possible values in the Settings panel.

Note that if the panel is at the default value, but does not change with the setting, then likely what happened was something similar to the following:

Content Scaling was at 100%
The Panel scaling was set to 110%
The Content Scaling was changed to 110%

In order to get the panel to respond to changes in the Settings, you need to move the Panel scaling to something other than 110% then back to 110%. This allows it to recognize that it is currently the default.

Truth be told, I don't care at all for the way program scaling, content scaling, and the panel text size slider are inter-related. I'd rather content scaling were disconnected entirely from program scaling, and turned back into an explicit default for the text size slider. That would be way more intuitive. I'm guessing this is a dead horse someone else has already beaten.

Content scaling affects the default for the text size slider e.g. the position of the default marker is changed. Is this your point?

I originally had to change my monitor resolution and Windows scaling to get a text size that will work well with some older apps as well as current ones, and that allowed me to retain 100% scaling for Content and Program in Logos... until I mucked around because of your comments[:)]. I think I'll go with 110/90 now as the 90% sharpens the icons.
