Attention old Handouts users
If you've been using Logos on Windows for more than ten years, you may have access to some Handouts on the Documents menu.
Most of you will never have seen these handouts documents. They were deprecated in Logos 5 (eleven years ago!), but people who had purchased Logos 4 continued to be able to use them. Since Logos 8.5 (four years ago) it's not been possible to create new handouts.
In Logos v27, these old handouts will be going away entirely. After v27 is installed, it will no longer be possible to view or print these old handout documents.
Should you wish to keep copies of old handouts, you'll need to export them to PDF or print them before installing v27, which will be released towards the end of June.
To do so, follow the steps below:
Click the Print button
Choose your printer, or a PDF writer:
You may get asked to "turn the paper over". If you're using a PDF writer, the second page will be saved in a separate PDF file.
The feature being removed is unrelated to the Handouts that can be created in Sermon Builder. Handouts created in Sermon Builder are unaffected by this change.

Mark,
Thanks for the notification. I have to admit that I'm sorry to see this feature disappear completely, but I'm glad you gave plenty of advance notice.

I don't know what percentage of users read the forums, but I wonder if this could be communicated in another way (email maybe)?

Does that mean the ....\Documents\userid\Documents\Handout folder will be removed?

Not immediately. But it won't be created on new installs.
