I am using the exegetical guide for studying Obadiah, and was surprised to see that there are 'no results' under Figurative Language in all of Obadiah. I know it's only 21 verses, but is this really accurate?
The Figurative Language dataset only covers the New Testament.
That's a bummer. Any idea if there are any plans to extend it to the OT?
Or if you are willing to consider classical figures of speech rather than contemporary linguistics:
That's better than nothing. Thanks!
That's better than nothing.
Which reminds me of a Reader's Digest syllogism of my youth:
A donut is better than nothing.
Nothing is better than Heaven.
Therefore, a donut is better than Heaven.
[:D] And people wonder why I love logic.

Lol, that's good.

I believe that's called "circle logic".... lol
How did you get that in the Concordance? Why does my Concordance look different than yours (the menu bar)?
Hi Jordan,
The naming is a bit confusing. In the guides section under biblical reference guides you will find "concordance". If you open that and then on the right side you will see settings. If you look down the drop down list you will find "figures of speech".
You now have a guide that you can type a verse range into or you can set to link to your text.
Another option, the one I prefer is to include a concordance section in my passage guide. It has the same option regarding settings.
OK. Thank you, John. Got it now.
Well, it makes sense, since a donut is hole-y. [:D]
