Notes anchored to the biblical reference
How do I create notes anchored to the biblical reference and them only be in one spot in a book? I am doing what my professor calls immersion with the Greek text. I have to take 50 notes, observations, applications, etc on one Bible passage. This week it is John 1-3.

I don't quite understand.
If you anchor a note to John 1:5, the icon for it will appear just before the verse.
Does that give you what you are looking for?

I think so. I am trying to take notes on the Greek text and need advice for best ways to do so.

Christian, can you take a couple of screenshots showing a highlighted selection and the note that you have taken and post them? It would probably be helpful in providing further advice if we could see what you have done along with some explanation of how that differs from what you were expecting.

Thanks David for the query. I am planning on going for a PhD in Bible and become a writer and teacher.

From your Word document, it seems that you simply want to attach a note per verse reference; and initially you want to do so while having a Greek NT open. A possibility would be to create a notebook for these notes and then via right click context menu in your Greek text use the option to add a note to a verse/reference to that specific notebook. You can then continue adding notes to other verses.
For details on Notes tool and the different ways to anchor notes to a reference or selected text, etc., please check the Logos Help to the Notes tool, available when you are in the Notes tool via the F1 key or via an option in the panel menu.
