Bible Exploration Kits pricing problems

I notice a number of these where the Small version costs more than the Large version.

Example:

Taking a closer look at the Matthew options, both would give me the same resources, but at different prices.

I see a number of other kits where this anomaly occurs (all the OT kits, plus Acts, Philippians and Philemon, Hebrews, and Revelation).

Not disagreeing; just clues. Mine (I tried several) are approximately $42/62 S/L ratio. Resource count is 8/12. So, yours are almost reversed (the ratios; Not sure your same item counts ).

That behavior makes sense. Larger packages typically offer their contents at a larger discount. If your existing ownership resulted in an identical list of new resources to you on both packages, then I would expect the larger one to be cheaper because of the larger discount.

Given that, if you only have a few new resources in the larger package that aren't in the smaller package, then you may still see a cheaper price if the the additional items don't have enough value to make up the difference in discount price on the ones that are in both.

I had one cost about a dollar and ZERO resources came to me when I checked Resources included, so that prevented me from buying 😂😂😂

In the past, I've gotten a couple Logos Libraries where a very slightly larger configuration was a few cents less expensive due to dynamic pricing. In both of those cases, there was not much in the larger library that was new to me compared to what the smaller package would've offered.

But your comment about the Bible Exploration Kits sent me into a rabbit hole. So I made a spreadsheet. All of mine are priced less for the Small with an average increase from Small to Large about $11. Perhaps it has to do with the resources you already have that are included in the Large packages invoking a more radical dynamic pricing trigger in the algorithm.

I've found this to be true in a lot of the expansions and collections as well.
