Color Schemes for the Text

  1. I would like to have a lot more control over and A LOT more variety of being able to change the colors of the text characters and background, verse numbers etc.  (Please see attached screen shot from my other bible study software by Olive Tree.  My Olive Tree software is THE main one I use on my phone because it gives me abundant control over all the colors for the text verse references and cross-references.  Both on my phone and desktop computers the color scheme I use, see attached file, is not only pleasant to look at, but it is easier on my eyes if I am using the software for any extended period of time.).  Because of the power and resources I have at my finger tips, I would like to try and use Logos on my phone but because of the lack of color control I do not.

There is no screenshot or file attached. For anyone to see what you are trying to show you will need to update your post or reply. You will need to use the paperclip icon to attach the screenshot and the file. Simply pasting will not work.

    Hi JBR:

I tried to up load a screen shot of what I suggested three times using this app. that was used to post this suggestion.  It said it had an error each time I did it.  I will try to find the paper clip you suggested.

    - Thanks

Either the paper clip or the Amber icon will work.

Thank MJ!  It worked and now everyone can see what I would like to with Logos software that I can do with the Olive Tree app!

MJ, I have to ask you if the name of the young woman in the picture of you posts has a first name of Rebecca?  I know someone who looks like she could be her identical twin!  I am friends with her family.  Her father and I are prayer partners.

Again, thanks for you help with getting a picture posted so Logos can see what I would like!

No, the picture is of myself when I was in college ... most likely 1967

Logos Wiki => Night Mode describes some color modification options for the operating system.

Desktop apps: Logos & Verbum have two themes (Light & Dark) along with highlighting palette & visual filters.

Thanks for your input Keep Smiling 4 Jesus :), GREAT try, BUT, I still want more control!  I have change the color setting so that they are closer to what I desire, but I still need more control over the "small stuff", like verse numbers, cross-reference letters etc.  I need/want the control of these colors to be in  the LOGOS app and NOT the OS settings.  I don't believe the OS knows or understands what verse numbers, cross-references, etc are. Plus I have discovered something else I believe Logos needs to take a look at!

The something else can be seen in the two screen shots I have included with this post.  It has to do with the setting the words of Jesus in red or not while using the OS's dark mode.  If you select, in the Logos app, to yes then no problem.  However, if you select no, again in the Logos app, and using the OS's dark mode, not only will you not get the red letters(which is ok) the color of the letters that does appear is only one color(which does not match the color of the surrounding text, but you also cannot change that color either, this NOT okay.) that, I am assuming is controlled by the Logos app only, BUT is not controlled/affected by the OS's dark mode, or at least I have not yet figured it out if it can.

    RED Letters(OK)

NO RED Letters(NOT OK, because the OS's dark mode cannot change the color to match the surrounding text.)
