Mobile app on Android, Disappearing menu bars.
It used to be that touching the screen once caused the top and bottom menu bars to disappear, then touch them again and they would reappear. Somewhat recently this seemed to change (a version update?) and I found that some finger motion at the top and bottom seems brought the menus back. Now I am stuck without the top and bottom menus and I can find no way to bring them back. Whenever I touch the screen it highlights the word or verse I am on (and pulls up the bottom copy/share/note/etc menu). But I can't find the right finger tough or method to bring the navigation menu back at the top, or the home/library/search/etc menu back at the bottom.

Hi Ronald:
Try tapping the name of the book at the top. (Sometimes I get the feeling that tapping just to the right of the book name is more effective.) The functionality is sometimes flaky for me, but I attribute that to old age, bad eyes, and uncoordinated digits. It is the result of the new version last fall.

Thanks, Robert. As you say, a little flaky but that is working for me.

If you are in Scroll view, you keep swiping up to go further and further into a book.
Swiping down once will restore the menu bars at the top and the bottom of the screen.

Thanks. That works also, but is also flaky for me; no doubt for the same reasons stated above.

Thanks, Joe. Interesting. It works for me with the right touch. It needs a light finger that just skips off the screen. A heavy finger that stays on the screen for a second as you scroll down (the way I usually scroll I guess) does not work. But now I have two solution. I shouldn't get stuck again.

Yes. It has to be a deliberate SWIPE without holding down. Not the best as one can lose position!

Maybe it's like Opie skipping a rock across Old Man Myer's Lake.
