Mobile app crashing when opening library
Hi,
Since the last update, the mobile app has crashed when I open my library. I can read books that are currently open with no problem but every time I go to the library to open another book the app crashes before I can do anything else. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am not, nor am I hearing multiple reports of this. Have you tried restarting your device? If that doesn't work, which specific version of the app are you running? Which specific version of which OS? Which specific device?
The fix <might> be to delete and reinstall... but I realize that might be a hassle.

I am having essentially the same problem. My Logos app crashes every time I start it. I have gone to the Google App store and it showed that there was an update. I downloaded it but the problem was not solved - the app crashed each time I launched it. I restarted my phone, but the problem still persists. My android phone's OS is up to date. The problem continues after at least a week of trying.
I hope deleting the app and then reinstalling it will work. I will do that when I have a chance. Thanks for the "tip".

I just want to report that uninstalling the app and then downloading and installing it WORKED. Thanks for that suggestion.

Same here. The Logos mobile app crashes within seconds when trying to open the app. Hopefully reinstalling works but that would mean redownloading gigs and gigs worth of material

That is why I don't recommend downloading your entire library. I have come to the conclusion that it isn't worth it. Many features require internet, including library searches. That being the case, you would have Internet if you were using those features, which would also mean you would have access to those resources. My recommendation is to only download a small portion of your library... the books you use ALL the time.

This thread is in the mobile forum (iPhone, iPad) and not desktop (macOS, Windows). Only a handful of resources download automatically to this app. Your description sounds like the desktop app, not the mobile app.

I had the same issue. Clearing the cache solved it. Re-installing is not necessary, and a hassld indeed...

I cleaned the cache but the app still crashes. I really don't want to re-install if I don't have to, I'm waiting out a bit longer.

Aaron, please send us your logs, this could provide us with information about these problems.
1. Open the app.
2. Tap the Menu icon (this icon has three horizontal lines).
3. Tap Help.
4. Press “Report a Problem”
5. A pre-addressed email will open with a log file attached automatically. Please mark it "Attention: Joe". Press “Send” to send your report.0 -
